Molly McCallum and Chef Billy McCallum will be here to discuss the cookbook based on their family restaurant.
Chef Billy McCallum's career in Eugene, Oregon, began at the Treehouse restaurant, where he trained under a graduate of The Cordon Bleu, then worked as head chef until it closed in 1997. His patrons followed him to his restaurant Billy Mac's, where they continued to adore his amiable personality and immense talent displayed in his nightly specials and countless catered events.
His well-deserved retirement has prompted his sister, Molly, to compile recipes and stories beginning with the opening of the Treehouse in 1977. Poignant and amusing tales of growing up in a restaurant and working with family woven in with over forty years of recipes will capture your attention, appetite, and heart.
Molly McCallum is the author and photographer of the recipe blog AuntieChatter.com. She created it in 2011, at the request of her niece, to record family recipes and favorites from her years baking professionally at her family's restaurant, the Treehouse. She has since developed many recipes of her own and is passionate about teaching others the art and importance of home cooking.
Living Legacy is her first cookbook, but it won't be her last. She loves to photograph and write about food almost as much as she adores cooking and eating it. She lives in beautiful Bend, Oregon, with her daughters, Ella and Hailey, and her dog, Davy. Visit www.auntiechatter.com for more of Molly's stories and recipes.
